40ft Yacht with prop issue. Lifeboat launched to assist a vessel with a jib sheet caught around the prop between Lymington and Newtown. A tow was established with the vessel and towed back to Lymington’s harbourmaster pontoon.

Lifeboat was called to reports of a kite surfer in trouble near Tanners lane. The crew quickly spotted the casualty low in the water near Tanner lane and recovered them into the lifeboat and proceeded back to the station.
Dramatic Rescue from RIB in marshes

Dramatic rescue of four people from a stranded RIB, stuck on the marshes east of Lymington River. Under extreme weather conditions the crew found the vessel on the lee shore on the marsh. Two RNLI crew were dropped at the edge of the marsh and supported each casualty one at a time to the lifeboat. Given the sea state and the tide conditions it was unsafe to recover the vessel at the time. The casualties were taken to Lymington and transferred to the care of the ambulance service.

Immediate second task to Mayday call from a RIB sinking off Beaulieu after hitting large waves and suffering electrical failure.
Arrived to find only RIB console showing above water, two crew evacuated and transferred to Beaulieu (one for medical assistance). Returned to the Solent and in a joint operation with the Yarmouth all weather lifeboat pumped out RIB and towed it to Beaulieu.

Unable to get inshore due to the low tide, two lifeboat crew walked across the mud to the vessel to find a young fisherman aboard a small inflatable ‘pool toy’ dinghy. Occupant recovered to lifeboat station for a warming shower and then into hands of grateful parents.

Injured walker was in an unreachable position by road riverside location on the upper reaches of the Beaulieu River.
Working with our blue light partners, the lifeboat crew assisted in the extrication of an injured walker, transporting them down the river bank and across mud into the lifeboat for delivery to specialist care.
